Working Mom to Homemaker

Embracing The Change

Classic Lasagna Rolls

I was so happy when I came across this recipe because I can’t make a regular Lasagna to save my life. It always looks nice in the dish, but when I go to serve it, all the layers  mesh into each other and look like a hot mess instead of a pretty layered square on the plate. Since I found this idea, I have never attempted the regular lasagna since. In this recipe, I used my mom’s cheese mixture instead of the original one written on the recipe card.

Yield: 6 servings
PREP: 30 minutes
COOK: 30 minutes

12 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 large jar spaghetti sauce
1 large cottage cheese
3-4 cups mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese
Garlic salt
Wax paper

1. Preheat oven to 350`F
2. Coat a 13×9 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray
3. Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain. Lay the noodles flat on waxed paper
4. Brown hamburger and drain. Add pasta sauce, bring to boil over medium-high heat. Spread 2 cups of the sauce mixture in the prepared baking dish.
5. Mix the cheeses and garlic salt in large bowl. Reserve 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
6. Spread about 3 tablespoons of the cheese mixture evenly over noodles
7. Roll up the noodles tightly. Place, seam sides down, over the sauce in the baking dish. Spoon the remaining sauce over the rolls and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
