Pan Seared T-Bone Steak

Yield: 2 servings
PREP: 5 minutes
COOK: 15 minutes

TIP: You can cook a variety of steaks this way, but depending on the thickness, you will have to adjust cooking times.

2 T-Bone steaks
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon canola oil

1. Preheat oven to 450`F. Half hour before cooking remove steak from refrigerator.
2. Heat a large skillet over high heat.
3. Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
4. Add oil to the hot skillet and when it begins to smoke add the steak.
5. Reduce heat slightly and cook steak until browned, about 4 mins on each side. (A little longer for more well done steak)
6. Transfer skillet to the oven. Cook until an instant-read thermometer inserted sideways into the steak registers 120`F for medium-rare, about 6-8 minutes. (For more well
done steak, add a few more minutes of cook time)
7. Once done, take the skillet out of the oven and transfer the steaks to a plate and cover them with foil. Let stand for 10 mins before serving.
